What is your experience in the Real Estate down turn?
April 10th, 2008 7:24 AM

I have come across so many people who are experiencing difficulties in maintaining their mortgage payments, due to various issues. One of the major observation is that 2 years ago, prior to the changes in the Bankruptcy law, these same individual would have had the opportunity to file chapter 13.

Filing chapter 13 was a means of buying time to consider various options including selling the property, refinancing, etc.

Does anyone else have an observation or experience to share?

Post your opinion on whether you are paying fair property taxes for your residence and facilities in your community and school district.

I honestly think I am paying way too much taxes considering that it is more than I pay on my mortgage and the fact that there is not much that my children get by way of afterschool programs and community programs. I really think that taxes should match services or benefits.
